On Friday, the City of Ojai shared some tips to help protect each other from spread (wash your hands, wear a face covering, and be alert for symptoms), but as we head into the holidays the most important thing to do is to avoid gatherings.
The County of Ventura is currently under a Regional Stay at Home Order. It prohibits gatherings of any size.
Mayor Betsy Stix asks residents to avoid gatherings and stay safe: “In person gatherings can quickly become super-spreader events. It is impossible to know for sure that someone at your gathering has not been exposed to the virus,” Mayor Stix said. “We know that this is another difficult sacrifice in a year full of them, but our nurses and doctors need us to do this so that they have the capacity to keep saving lives.”
To report gatherings that are not following the State issued guidance in Ojai or the Ojai Valley please call Ventura County Sheriff at 805-654-9511
