Reminder: Water Boil Advisory

Keep checking readyventuracounty.org for information. Reminder re: water boil advisory: Casitas Municipal Water District has issued a boil water order for the Upper Ojai Valley, Casitas Springs Foster Park and parts of the City of Ventura due to loss of pressure and water supply from the fire related power outages. All tap water used for drinking and cooking should be boiled to a rolling boil for approximately 1 minute. This is the preferred method to ensure water is safe to drink.

Southern California Edison Thomas Fire Status Page Available Now

Southern California Edison has update an outage map showing current status of Thomas Fire service outages and restoration. Visit SCE.com for information.

Information includes: Thomas fire restoration effort

Damage assessment teams have been granted access to some of the fire-damaged areas of the Thomas fire. When they gain access, progress of their work will be determined by weather conditions, terrain and the movement of the fires.
We anticipate the magnitude of the damage to be extensive.

Thomas Fire

There is a fast moving, active brush fire that started north of Santa Paula near Highway 150 and has burned into the city limits of Ventura and toward Highway 33. The fire is currently estimated at 31,000 acres and is being pushed by strong east winds. Fixed wing aircraft and helicopters are expected to attack the fire at daybreak. The fire is still out of control and structures continue to be threatened throughout the fire area.
