COUNTY OF VENTURA PUBLIC HEALTH ADVISORY: PUBLIC HEALTH STRONGLY RECOMMENDS ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS WEAR MASKS INDOORS TO PREVENT FURTHER SPREAD OF COVID-19

Ventura, CA – With cases of COVID-19 rising locally and increased circulation of the highly transmissible Delta variant, the County of Ventura Public Health Department strongly recommends that everyone, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks indoors in public places. This serves as an extra precautionary measure for those who are fully vaccinated and will further limit spread of the Delta variant in the community at large.

COVID-19 Outbreak at Grateful Shred Concert at Felton Music Hall

The City of Ojai is aware of a COVID-19 outbreak at a July 17 Grateful Shred Concert at Felton Music Hall in Felton, California. The Felton Music Hall is an indoor venue. Grateful Shred had played at the Libbey Bowl, an outdoor venue, in Ojai on July 16. The City has spoken with event promoters and Ventura County Public Health and there have been no reported cases related to the Ojai event at this time.

The Ojai City Council Special Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 will be held in the Multi-purpose Room at the Jack Boyd Community Center at Sarzotti Park, 510 Park Road, Ojai, to ensure sufficient space for in-person attendance.
