Reminder: City of Ojai Invites the Community to Join the Centennial Celebration on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Sarzotti Park from 4:00- 7:30 p.m.

The City of Ojai turns 100 on August 5, 2021, and we’re inviting all members of the community to join in the celebration! The City will host a free community event at Sarzotti Park from 4:00- 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Community members can enjoy live entertainment, music & interactive songs with the Ojai Music Festival, free shaved ice (available while supplies last), games, food trucks, and more. This outdoor event is a great way to enjoy the company of your fellow neighbors.

Applications for City of Ojai Arts Commission Grants Now Available

The City of Ojai Arts Commission is pleased to announce that applications for the 2022 Grant Program are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is Friday, September 3, 2021 and all applications and supporting materials must be received at City Hall by that time. Postmarks will not be accepted.

The grants, which are awarded each year at the December Ojai City Council meeting, help to ensure the vitality of the arts in the Ojai Valley,

UPDATE: CREEK ROAD IS CLEAR AND NOW OPEN Sycamore Tree Down on S. Ventura Street

At 3:50 a.m. this morning, July 14, a large sycamore fell across S. Ventura Street. The tree brought down some power lines that started a small fire. The fire burned less than a 1/4 of an acre and was put out quickly.

Creek Road is closed at Country Club Drive to S. Montgomery Street, with traffic detoured on Country Club Dr. to Ojai Ave. Southern California Edison needs to repair power lines and then the tree service company will remove the tree from the street.

City of Ojai Has Received an Application for a Wireless Facility Located at 202 W Ojai Ave

On December 1, 2020 the Community Development Department provided an incomplete letter regarding a proposed rooftop wireless facility. The applicant (Smartlink) resubmitted additional information on June 21, 2021, and the Community Development Department Staff is currently reviewing the submitted information. The information is available for public review at City Hall – 401 S. Ventura Street, Community Development Department, Monday – Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m or by clicking this link.
