June 16, 2021 COVID-19 Update

On June 15, the State of California reopened and lifted most COVID-19 restrictions. We want to take a moment to thank our Ojai community for all of the efforts to keep our community safe over the last 15+ months. Below is an update regarding updated health orders:

[Español abajo] The Ventura County Health Care Agency is offering free COVID-19 testingvailable Today (Wednesday, June 16, 2021) from 9:00 am. to 3:00 p.m. at Sarzotti Park, 510 Park Rd. Ojai CA. 93023. Testing is available to members of the public, including to those who have the slightest suspicion of having COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with it. Appointments are not required and you don’t need to have health insurance.

Reminder: City of Ojai to Open Cooling Center Tuesday, June 15 through Friday, June 18, 2021

(6/14/2021) With high temperatures forecasted this week , the City of Ojai will open a cooling center on Tuesday, June 15 through Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Boyd Center (510 Park Road, Ojai, CA 93023).

Social distancing measures will be in place: masks are required to enter the cooling center, seats will be 6 feet apart and temperatures will be taken at the door. Masks will be provided if visitors do not have one.

Casitas Fire Update

6:30 p.m. June 14, 2021: Update on Casitas Fire from Ventura County Fire District:

Aerial resources overhead fire have mapped the current acreage to a more accurate 150+ acres.  The original 30 acre estimate was an early incident ground perspective.
