The Economic Development Collaborative to Host A Panel Discussion on Commercial Eviction Moratoriums and Business Finances.

The Economic Development Collaborative is hosting a panel discussion with EDC SBDC Financial and Legal Advisors Gonzalo Fernandez, Anthony Elliott, Bill Bartels and Erica Bristol, to provide understanding and guidance around next steps on commercial eviction moratoriums and business finances.

The no-cost webinar will take place on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Additionally, it will work through real life scenarios and  questions many commercial tenants are facing today.

Free COVID-19 Testing Available on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Sarzotti Park.

The City of Ojai and County of Ventura have announced additional free COVID-19 testing dates in Ojai through March 31, 2021. Testing is to be held at Sarzotti Park, 510 Park Rd. Ojai CA. 93023. A list of testing dates and times for the month of March are as follows:

  • Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The California Public Utilities Commission to Hold a Meeting on March 1, 2021 to Hear Updates from Southern California Edison on Public Safety Power Shutoffs

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), in its ongoing actions to reduce the impacts of utility Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), will hold a public meeting for Southern California Edison (SCE) to provide an update on its Corrective Action Plan following a January public meeting the CPUC held to address the operational deficiencies identified in the utility’s execution of its 2020 PSPS events. The Small Business Administration (SBA) Provides Update on the Paycheck Protection Program

On Monday, February 22, 2021 the Biden-Harris Administration and the Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the following changes to the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to further promote equitable relief for America’s mom-and-pop businesses including those in Ojai:

  • From February 24 – March 10, 2021, the SBA will establish a 14-day Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan application period exclusively for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees.
