City of Ojai Announces Removal of Stationary Automated License Plate Readers within City Limits

January 5, 2021 – The City of Ojai announced that stationary automated license plate readers have been removed from within City limits, effective December 21, 2020. The City Council created an ad-hoc committee at the December 15, 2020, City Council meeting, to study and consider a policy for these stationary automated license plate readers. The Committee will review and return to City Council with a recommendation.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and City officials made the decision to remove the license plate readers pending that review.

Reminder: Free COVID-19 Testing Available on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 10:00 am. to 4:00 p.m. at Sarzotti Park

[Español abajo] The Ventura County Health Care Agency is offering free COVID-19 testing on Monday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sarzotti Park, 510 Park Rd. Ojai CA. 93023. Testing is available to members of the public, including to those who have the slightest suspicion of having COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with it. Appointments are not required and you don’t need to have health insurance.

California’s Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program opens December 30, 2020

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020 The State of California will open the application period for its announced allocation of $500 million for COVID-19 Relief Grant for Small Businesses, with grants of up to $25,000 to be distributed to underserved micro and small businesses.

COVID-19 Testing Scheduled for Monday, December 28, 2020 in Ojai Postponed

The COVID-19 testing event scheduled for Monday, December 28, 2020 at Sarzotti Park has been postponed due to inclement weather conditions.

 

Testing is scheduled to resume on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Sarzotti Park, 510 Park Road, Ojai CA. 93023 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Additionally, the County of Ventura has expanded free COVID-19 testing throughout the county for residents who have the slightest suspicion of having COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with it.
