Ventura County Public Health Department Issues Indoor Mask Advisory

July 20, 2021 City of Ojai COVID-19 Update

The County of Ventura Public Health Department has issued an advisory strongly recommending that everyone in Ventura County, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks indoors in public places. The cases of COVID-19 are rising locally with an increased circulation of the highly transmissible Delta variant.

This serves as an extra precautionary measure for those who are fully vaccinated and will further limit spread of the Delta variant in the community at large.

Applications for City of Ojai Arts Commission Grants Now Available

The City of Ojai Arts Commission is pleased to announce that applications for the 2022 Grant Program are now being accepted. The deadline for applications is Friday, September 3, 2021 and all applications and supporting materials must be received at City Hall by that time. Postmarks will not be accepted.

The City of Ojai Internship Program

The City of Ojai has established an unpaid, unbenefited internship program to provide qualified candidates a meaningful and educational work experience to supplement and enhance their academic careers. Additionally, the program will enable students to establish effective working relationships with professional staff, which could be beneficial for their future career development.

Interns will work hands on within city departments to complete projects, reports, assessments, and more. Every internship is unique and assignments will vary depending on which internship matches the candidate’s field.

The Gas Line at Park Road and Grand Avenue has been Repaired

The gas line at the corner of Park Road and Grand Avenue has been repaired and the street is now open for traffic.  Service has been restored to most gas customers, and SCE is working on restoring power to those affected.
