Measure “C”- Proposed Hotel Tax (TOT) Increase on March 3 ballot

A proposed change to the City of Ojai’s hotel tax, also known as the transient occupancy tax (TOT) rate will appear on the March 3, 2020 ballot as “Measure C.” This measure will provide the City of Ojai’s registered voters an opportunity to approve or disapprove a hotel tax increase from 10% to 15%.

Coffee with The Chief to Be Held on Friday, December 20, 2019.

Residents of the Ojai Valley are invited to share a cup of Coffee with Chief of Police, Jim Fryhoff, as the Department hosts “Coffee with the Chief” on Friday, December 20, 2019. This event will take place at the Beacon Coffee Shop, located at 211 West Ojai Ave. from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Reminder: The City’s Municipal Code Limits the Use of Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers: Information Flyers Available in English Y Español

The City of Ojai would like to share a reminder, the City’s municipal code limits the use of gas-powered leaf blowers (Ojai Municipal Code Section 5-11.05). The city suspended enforcement of this ordinance in 2014, but enforcement resumed on July 1, 2017.

FAQ flyers are available in  English and Español, listing information that residents and landscape professionals need to know.

In addition, the City’s Community Development Department is happy to answer any questions regarding leaf blower enforcement.
