The California Department of Housing and Community Development to Host Grant-Disaster Recovery Program Overview Meeting October 11, 2018

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is holding a public meeting to provide an overview of the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program for residents of Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties who were impacted by Wildfires, Flooding, Mudflows and Debris flows in 2017-2018, as a result of FEMA disasters DR-4344 and DR-4353. Thomas Fire Evacuees Invited to Participate in Focus Groups August 25 and 26, Participants will Receive $100 Amazon Gift Card

Researchers from UC Berkeley are surveying Ventura County residents who either evacuated or received an evacuation notice during the Thomas Fire. Their research is an effort to better understand the efficacy and the effects of evacuations and emergency notices. Two focus groups will be held August 25th and 26th at the E.P. Foster Library in Ventura.


Participants must have either evacuated or received an evacuation order during the Thomas Fire.
