Proposed FY 18-19 Budget Available for Review

The proposed FY 18/19 budget document is now available for review. The document is available at City Hall, the Ojai library, or at Ojaicity.org (click the link below to review it electronically).

A public hearing considering adoption of the FY 18/19 budget will be held this coming Tuesday, June 12, at Ojai City Council Chambers, at 7 p.m.

April is Fair Housing Month

April is Fair Housing Month, and April 11, 2018, marks the 50th anniversary of passage of the Fair Housing Act, officially known as Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, signed into law by President Johnson.

As originally written, the Act outlawed housing discrimination based on race, color, national origin or religion in housing sales, rentals and brokerage services. It was later amended to also protect against discrimination based on sex.
