The Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura will be Accepting Applications from November 3, 2020 through November 16, 2020 for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

(10/16/2020) The Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA) will be accepting applications from November 3, 2020 through November 16, 2020 for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program from very low income households meeting the AHA residency preference (live, work or hired to work in the AHA’s jurisdiction) The AHA serves the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. Applications from those living and working outside the AHA’s jurisdiction will not be processed.

Storymap with More Information on the Middle Stewart Canyon Creek Restoration Project Available Now

The City of Ojai is partnering with Concerned Resource Environmental Workers (CREW), California Conservation Corps (CCC), Pax Environmental, Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, and Once Upon a Watershed on the exciting Middle Stewart Canyon Creek Restoration Project.

The project will enhance an existing native oak woodland, increase stream flow, reduce fire risk and benefit habitat value while providing environmentally oriented jobs for local youth. State of California Announces Salons, Barbershops and Malls able to Reopen on Monday, August 31, 2020

Today (August 28, 2020), the State of California announced a new blueprint for reducing COVID-19 in the state with revised criteria for loosening and tightening restrictions and activities. Learn more at https://covid19.ca.gov/safer-economy/.

Under this plan, Salons, Barbershops and Malls are able to reopen for indoor services beginning Monday, August 31.

These sectors must follow the state issued industry guidance found at the following link: https://covid19.ca.gov/industry-guidance/.

These businesses must also register to reopen at www.vcreopens.com.
