Ventura County Health Officer Order Effective March 17, 2020

Ventura County Public Health officials  have released several new restrictions effective March 18, 2020, in response to the coronavirus. The restrictions include the the temporary closure of certain businesses and shelter-in-place orders for vulnerable populations.

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. all Ventura County residents age 75 and older are ordered to shelter in place through April 1. The shelter-in-place order also applies to residents age 70 and older with underlying health issues.

Mayor’s Message Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Ojai residents,

As members of the Ojai community, we are all understandably concerned about the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). As Mayor of the City of Ojai, I would like to share actions taken by the City of Ojai, but also share actions that residents can and should take to keep each other, and our community, safe.
This situation is unprecedented, we must be calm and reasonable. This is a public health crisis, and the lead agency for our area is the Ventura County Public Health Department.
