The County of Ventura has announced that effective January 19, 2021 those 75 and older in Ventura County can begin to register for vaccines. Ventura County residents or those that work in our County can also register for vaccines if they are in Phase 1a Tier 1, 2, & 3. To register, please visit https://www.venturacountyrecovers.org/vaccine-information/portal/. If you are not in the current phase, please do not register. When you show up at the vaccine site you will have to show proof that you are in the current phase and that you live or work in Ventura County.
The COVID-19 vaccine is one of the most important tools available to help end the COVID-19 pandemic. While you wait for your phase and tier to be announced, it is important to continue to take steps to protect yourself, your loved ones, and to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks, keeping our distance from others, avoiding gatherings and washing our hands.
As the local vaccine distributor, the County is organized and prepared to distribute the vaccine as supplies are received. As of January 19, 2021 the County has administered more than 30,741 first doses of vaccines from the 33,025 that have been provided to the County.
