The City is hosting two events this month at Kent Hall to help the local community learn about and connect with emergency resources—and be prepared when disaster strikes.
Police, fire, emergency, healthcare, communications, animal care, and education partners will gather to review our draft emergency guide, an eight-page booklet providing quick information for residents and visitors, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, 2 pm – 4 pm at Kent Hall & via Zoom. This is a working meeting and the public is invited to observe and share input.
On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 9 am – 10 am at Kent Hall & via Zoom, we will host a Community Conversation: Preparing for Emergencies
In this workshop for the full community, participants will hear from our public safety partners, view our emergency guide, share perspectives, and explore local resources. Participants can sign up for emergency updates on the spot.
Refreshments will be provided. There will be time for questions, and participants can take home information on local and regional emergency preparedness resources.
