Historic Preservation Commission
The Historic Preservation Commission makes recommendations to the City Council and Planning Commission regarding the protection of landmarks, property and structures in the City. The Commission holds public hearings to identify historic landmarks, districts, and points of interest, and is accountable to take appropriate action to preserve them and to investigate structures which might be of historic significance.

City of Ojai Historic Districts
The “Cultural and Historic Preservation Law” section of the Ojai City Code establishes the authority for the Historic Preservation Commission to “investigate and recommend to the City Council the adoption of ordinances designating areas as having special historic, community, or architectural value as “historic districts.”
