NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Ojai is accepting applications for appointment to the Ojai City Treasurer, to fill the seat’s vacancy. The appointed person will serve through the qualification of results at the November 8, 2022 Statewide General Election. The City Treasurer is an elected official responsible for overseeing the City’s investments and ensuring compliance with applicable laws regarding investment and handling of public funds.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, reside within the boundaries of the City of Ojai and be registered to vote in the City of Ojai at the time the application is submitted.
Per City Council minute action at its January 11, 2021 Regular Meeting, the Council is expected to make a decision on filling the vacancy at its January 25, 2021 Regular Meeting. Applications must be returned to the City Clerk’s office at City Hall no later than Friday, January 21, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. All applications will be made available for public inspection.
