Launching on Ojai Valley Peace Day, September 18, 2022, O-Haiku represents the beginning of a new series in the Literary Arts supported and promoted by the Ojai Arts Commission. The entire Ojai community is invited to participate.

The Haiku themed competition begins in our very own International City of Peace with the inspirational public art, “Peace in Man’s Hand” by Ojai artist Ted Gall. Located in the back courtyard of The Ojai Art Center, the sculpture
crowns the top of a six-foot Peace Pole.

What does Peace mean to you? Submit your original O-Haiku
entry by October 31, either by email or mail. Haiku (/hī-koo/) is a Japanese poem of 17 syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.

Being anonymous is welcome too!”
The winner receives a $50 prize from the Arts Commission.
