The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting the first moderate to strong Santa Ana wind event for Thursday, October 10, 2019, through Friday, October 11, 2019. The winds will be focused over Ventura County and Los Angeles counties, peaking Thursday afternoon and evening with anticipated gusts between 45 and 70 mph. Wind strength should weaken by 5-10 mph Thursday night into Friday morning.
