The week of December 7, 2020, marked the three-year anniversary of the Thomas Fire, which, at the time, was the largest wildfire in California history. The fire severely impacted the Ojai Valley, causing many residents to be evacuated. Here at the City of Ojai, we’re looking for ways to improve fire safety, and to keep residents informed during emergencies.
We wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about our new “Hi-Lo” sirens, which will be used during emergencies. These sirens will be used to notify you of a need to evacuate. Please see the video below for more information.
