At its April 12, 2022 meeting, the Ojai City Council determined that two portable, emergency message trailers would better serve the Ojai community in case of disaster without the negative impacts of a permanent emergency message board. This decision follows extensive community outreach in which more than 700 people survey participants shared their thoughts and nearly 200 commented on a variety of platforms.
The portable trailers would be used for emergency messages only. They can be placed at key locations in the community, programmed remotely, and can operate during a power outage. These will augment the City’s growing emergency communications platforms, which includes the MyOjai app, AM Radio 1610, Twitter and Facebook. You can view the full list here.
