Notification That Filing Period for Non-Incumbents for the Office of Ojai City Council Member, the City of Ojai, has Been Extended to Wednesday, August 15, 2018 At 5:00 P.M.
The filing period for non-incumbents for the office of City Council Member in the City of Ojai has been extended, the City Clerk Department announced today at 5:00 p.m. Interested residents must file nomination papers for the General Municipal Election by the new deadline, August 15, 2018, during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
The filing period was extended beyond the initial August 10, 2018, deadline because one or more incumbent City Council Members failed to file nomination papers. The filing period for incumbents is now closed.
Any Ojai resident age 18 or older who is registered to vote, eligible to take the oath of office, and unless otherwise specifically provided, qualified to vote for the office, can file nomination papers.
