The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, through the Ojai Police Department, will team with the Ojai Unified School District to conduct campus safety exercises including active shooter training for deputy sheriffs and staff with the Ojai Unified School District at Matilija Middle School on October 10, 2022, at 8:15 AM.

The training will take place within a designated area of the fenced grounds of Nordhoff High School.  Law enforcement personnel from the Ojai Police Department will visit the neighborhoods surrounding the school prior to inform residents on what they can expect during the training session.  The training is not open to the public.

This will be a planned training and clearly marked Police Training.  In order to prevent any alarm, we would appreciate the help spreading the message that this is planned and clearly a training.
