Redevelopment Successor Agency

On December 29, 2011 the California Supreme Court upheld legislation (AB 1X 26) which dissolved redevelopment agencies in the State of California, and invalidated another bill (AB 1X 27) which created an alternative redevelopment program. As a result of this decision, all existing redevelopment agencies were dissolved effective February 1, 2012, including the City of Ojai Redevelopment Agency.

The City has elected to be the successor agency for the purpose of “unwinding” the activities of the former Redevelopment Agency.
