Reminder: Although the City has lifted its temporary leaf blower ban, please remember that leaf blowers should not be used to clean up ash under any circumstances. Using leaf blowers to clean up ash makes fallen ash airborne. This increases the risk of the ash being inhaled by residents and animals.

After the latest winds, the City has seen an increase in aged ash, which is still hazardous to breathe. Please do not use leaf blowers to clean up this ash.

Electric leaf blowers may be operated in residential zones between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, but are prohibited on Sundays and legal holidays. Gas leaf blowers remain prohibited in residential zones.
