On December 18, 2017, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a fire started in the barranca behind City Hall on City property. According to County Fire, the fire burned less than a half-acre of grass and trees. The fire did not threaten structures and it has been extinguished. The cause is under investigation, but it appears to be unrelated to the Thomas fire.
