Notice is hereby given that the City of Ojai is seeking volunteers to serve as volunteer ombudsmen for the City’s Second Unit Compliance Program. The ombudsman volunteers would serve as a mechanism whereby owners of unpermitted second units would be able to find out what would be needed to qualify for the Compliance Program without revealing the existence of an unpermitted unit to the City.

Those interested should have knowledge of State Building Codes, City Zoning Regulations, and experience in processing construction projects and be able to advise applicants of City-and State- mandated regulations.
