Update regarding wind event: The City may be effected by the Public Safety Power Shutoff due to a strong Santa Ana event that is underway with wind gusts already exceeding 50 mph being observed in Ventura County and many weather stations already reaching red flag criteria. Winds are expected to expand in coverage and in strength through Thursday morning and peak around noon. Many areas seeing sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts in the 35 to 55 mph range.
