The Community Development Director has direct oversight for all functions of the Community Development Department. The department includes the Planning Division, Building and Safety Division, and Code Compliance Division.

The Community Development Department offers access to building and planning records online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To use ALL the services you must register and create a user account. Pre-approved Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Plans
A Pre-approved ADU plan is now available on-line through the City of Ojai Community Development Department website. The pre-approved one-bedroom ADU plan is available for free. The free plan provides three separate architectural styles including Ranch, Spanish, and Traditional.
