Adult Basketball League

The City of Ojai Recreation Department is pleased to offer a fun and competitive adult basketball league for adults (18+). League play is held during the winter months. All teams are guaranteed to play ten (10) games. The top 4 teams will advance to the playoffs, with winners moving on to the championship game.

Current Season: Winter/Spring 2026

Registration opens on December 1st, 2025 at 9:00 AM.

  • League fees per team are $350. A team may be registered with a $100 deposit. The remaining $250 must be paid to the Department’s office prior to the first scheduled game. 
  • Games are held on Sunday evenings at Matilija Gymnasium located at 703 El Paseo Rd. Hours between 8 - 11 AM
  • Each team is allowed a maximum of ten (10) players, with a minimum of five (5) players on it's roster
  • A fee of thirty dollars ($30) per team, is to be paid to the officials prior to the beginning of each scheduled game.
  • This league is played under the Southern California Municipal Athletics Federation (SCMAF) and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) basketball rules with certain exceptions noted in City of Ojai Rules and Regulations booklet. 
  • Registration Deadline: January 4th, 2026 or until league is full.

Drinking alcohol on city property is a violation of 
City Municipal Code Sec. 4-13.01. Violation of this section will result in disciplinary action by the Adult Sports Official and is punishable by removal from the league, and a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of not more than six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
