Adult Fitness

The City of Ojai Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of activities for adults. Our passion is building community engagement and motivation, thus fueling successful fitness experiences. When regularly done, you can expect to improve your flexibility, balance, and strength. Fitness not only feels great but helps to protect your body from injury during your athletic endeavors, or daily life in general.

Adult Fitness Classes


Our classes are designed for adults and seniors who would like to participate in a sensible low-impact program that results in a gradual increase in strength and mobility. Organized strength exercises using resistance bands and other non-traditional training equipment will be executed to help build strength and help slow muscle wasting. We offer exercises that increase performance for endurance, breathing, and heart rate. There are balance and leg strengthening exercises to help with stability. We even offer flexibility and core exercises to stretch your muscles and help your body to stay limber. 

This class has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and offers individual attention from our accredited staff that has been serving Ojai since 2000.

Weight Room


The workout area is on the second floor of Ojai’s John G. Martin Gymnasium. We operate a fitness training room with all the great equipment you would expect to find only at the most exclusive health clubs. The cost is the lowest of any gym in the Ojai Valley.

We are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm for anyone ages 14 and up.
